The fan that cools the condenser coil at the back of the fridge is not spinning, or the control no longer hears it.
Every LG appliance prints a precise fault code when something goes wrong. Below is what that code on the display actually means — the cause behind the blink. We do not list DIY fixes, because on LG inverter platforms a wrong guess is what turns a $180 part into a $900 board.

The compressor or its inverter drive has reported a fault and is not running at the expected rate.
The main control board and the display panel have lost communication with each other.
The defrost heater circuit is open or shorted, so the evaporator can no longer be cleared of frost on schedule.
The thermistor watching defrost temperature is reading out of range.
The evaporator fan inside the freezer compartment is jammed, disconnected, or not reporting its speed back to the board.
The fresh-food compartment fan motor is not returning an RPM signal to the control.
The fan that cools the ice-making compartment is not reporting back to the board.
The temperature sensor in the freezer is open, shorted, or reading outside the valid range.
The temperature sensor in the fresh-food compartment is open, shorted, or out of range.
The ice-bucket level or fill sensor is reporting a fault to the control.
The temperature sensor in the ice-making compartment is reading out of range.
When the water dispenser was activated, the flow sensor did not register water moving through the line.
The inverter board has rejected a request to start or run the linear compressor.
A door has been open or its switch has been stuck open longer than the alarm threshold.
The washer did not reach the target water level in the expected time. The control is calling out either the supply, the inlet valve, or the pressure sensor.
The washer did not drain to the empty pressure threshold in the expected time. Drain pump, hose, or filter restriction is the usual call-out.
The drum could not balance the load well enough to ramp up to spin speed safely.
The door lock did not confirm it was engaged before the cycle could start.
The motor hall sensor is reporting the drum is locked or stalling under load.
The water-level pressure sensor is reporting values the control treats as out of range.
Water level rose above the safe overflow line — typically a stuck-open inlet valve or a faulty pressure sensor.
The water temperature thermistor is reading open, shorted, or out of range.
The motor current sensor saw a current outside the expected envelope during a wash step.
The internal safety system detected a leak or water where it should not be and shut the machine down.
The pressure trace looks like persistent foam — the cycle has been suspended for an automatic suds-rinse.
The heater element circuit is reading open or shorted on the safety check.
The dryer measured airflow consistent with the lint duct being roughly 80% restricted.
Airflow has dropped to ~90% restriction — the cycle continues but is being throttled for safety.
The exhaust is essentially closed. The dryer has paused to prevent overheating the cabinet.
The thermistor at the heater inlet is reading open or shorted.
The thermistor at the drum exhaust is reading open or shorted.
A thermistor on the heater side is reporting values the control considers a fault.
A thermistor on the exhaust side is reporting values the control considers a fault.
The drum door is opening (or the switch is reading open) during the cycle.
Motor current is outside the expected window. Common with a binding drum or a failing motor.
The heater is enabled but no current is being drawn — typically a broken element or open thermal fuse.
The dishwasher did not reach the target water level on the fill step. Supply, valve or float / pressure sensor.
Water was not pumped out within the expected drain time.
The leak sensor at the base of the tub has detected water on the pan.
The wash heater circuit is reading open or shorted.
The water-level pressure switch is sending values the control does not accept.
The wash-water temperature sensor is reading out of range.
Water in the tub has climbed above the normal cycle level — usually a stuck inlet valve.
The motor that steers the spray-arm zones is not reporting its position to the control.
The safety system has detected a leak inside the chassis and has powered the machine down.
The main board and the display sub-board have lost talk-back between each other.
The wash motor RPM is not what the control expected for the step it is on.
The self-clean door latch did not confirm the locked position when commanded.
The oven cavity went above the maximum safe temperature for the active mode.
The oven temperature sensor (RTD probe) is reading as an open circuit.
The oven temperature sensor is reading as a short circuit.
The door latch is reporting an unexpected state opposite of what the cycle expects.
The display board and the relay/main board are not talking to each other.
A key on the membrane keypad is reading as pressed continuously.

A bake / broil / convection relay on the control board is reading as stuck closed.
The probe or RTD wiring shows a circuit fault that does not match open or short exactly.
The convection fan motor is not reporting the expected RPM during convection cooking.
The cooktop display and the power module are not communicating.
The induction power module has reported an internal fault.
A specific cooking element / coil is reading a fault on its drive circuit.
The cooktop surface or the power module has gone above its thermal limit and shut down.
The humidity sensor used for sensor-cook modes is reading out of range.
The cavity temperature sensor is reading out of range.
A key on the touch panel is reading as pressed for too long.
The display and the main board are no longer communicating.
A generic sensor fault — the unit is reporting a sensor it relies on is not responding.
